Help 4 Houses is a trading name of Service-Hub (UK) Ltd, registered in England and Wales with Companies House. This means you can be assured that we are not 'here today, gone tomorrow'. Our company registration number and registered address can be found on the Contact Us page.

In addition, Help 4 Houses is fully insured (£5 Million public liability insurance) to carry out work on your premises, this is not always the case with others offering this kind of service.

We always offer a free, written estimate for all work, and provide a signed Work Agreement form for larger jobs so both parties know exactly what to expect (can also be provided for smaller jobs if required)


'Credit Crunch'

Help 4 Houses was established in 2006, long before the 'current credit' crunch became apparent. The company, as part of Service-Hub (UK) Ltd was originally formed when director Gary Newman realised there was a need for a professional, reliable property maintenance company which could carry out the majority of work required by customers in the daily upkeep of their homes.
It is an unfortunate reality that, during the current economic difficulties, many people have lost their jobs. Some of these have decided, understandably, to set themselves up as a 'Handyman Service'. It is also true that some of these services may not charge as much as established companies. Whilst this may seem like a positive when initially seeking prices for work to be carried out we are already hearing some 'horror' stories where work has not been carried out to the customers satisfaction and it has not been possible to get hold of the person responsible - hopefully they managed to get a new job better suited to their requirements.
We would ask, for both your sake and ours, that when considering competitive quotes from Help 4 Houses and others you consider the following points:
(i) Were all companies established prior to the current economic difficulties?
(ii) Are all companies approved by Bedfordshire Trading Standards or similar, giving you peace of mind should anything go wrong?
(iii) Do they have full, current liability insurance (Help 4 Houses is £5 million)
(iv) Can they supply references if required?

Small Print (not in small print!)

Any estimate based on time for individual jobs is based on the information available at the time of the estimate, additional charges may apply when unforeseen circumstances are encountered. Help 4 Houses will notify the customer immediately such circumstances are encountered.
Where it is necessary for two people to attend, including for reasons of health and safety, you will be advised accordingly.

Any parts required can either be supplied by you, the customer, or by Help 4 Houses, subject to availability.

Payment must be made upon completion of work, we accept cash and cheques when supported by a valid check guarantee card. A receipt is available on request.
